Overview
Chancey helps you research event contracts and related workflows on your phone. It is not a bank, brokerage, or investment adviser. This policy explains what information the app may collect, how it is used, and how you can request access or deletion. We do not sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Account information — username and a securely stored password hash, used to authenticate you.
- App activity — content and preferences you create or set (for example alerts, notes, and risk settings).
- Push notifications — if you opt in, a device push token may be stored so we can deliver alerts you request.
- Diagnostics — optional crash or performance reports to improve stability, when configured.
Account credentials are processed on our servers. Secrets used to connect to third-party services are not embedded in the mobile app bundle.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the app, authenticate your account, deliver features and notifications you enable, improve reliability, and respond to support or privacy requests. Market data and account balances you view may rely on third-party exchange or data services you use with Chancey.
Third parties
Depending on what you enable, Chancey may share limited data with service providers that help run the product — for example hosting, push delivery, crash diagnostics, and — when you use exchange-connected features — the relevant exchange or market venue under that venue’s terms. We do not share personal information with advertising networks for targeted ads.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.
Security
App communication uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) and authenticated API access. You can manage notification and related permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and app activity data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Push tokens are kept while notifications remain enabled.
